How to Get more Sales online – SEO Services made simple for Business Owners How to Get more Sales online – SEO Services made simple for Business Owners
So many Business Owners find it difficult to get business online for the simple reason their website makes it difficult for their potential clients to find them. This is because most websites are still designed to “look good” rather than be easy to find.
One of our most fundamental SEO Services is to help Business Owners like you make the connection between what they offer and what their customers are looking for. The way Search Engines work, especially Google, is pretty straightforward. They want to make sure when someone is searching for something by typing some words on screen that the MOST RELEVANT results are presented to them. The more accurately the “Results” match the “Search” phrase the happier the “Searcher” and the more frequently they’ll use that Search Engine to find stuff, be that Google, Yahoo, Bing or, increasingly, YouTube.
It makes sense that to have your company information presented more frequently to your chosen market the words you use on your website should match the words entered by the Searcher (your potential client) as closely as possible. In the jargon of Search Engine Optimisation this comes down to the “keywords” you use on your website, and how often they appear.
Top Tip for this post is to make sure the keywords that describe your business appear in two key places. On the Title of each page and on the Home Page of your website.

For example, if you are a plumber working in the Leeds area you need to get keywords like Plumber Leeds, Plumbing services Leeds, emergency plumber Leeds, appearing on the Home Page. It will also help to have separate pages with the words “Emergency Plumber Leeds”, and “Plumbing Services Leeds” in the Title. Make sure every page of your website uses a different Title. This way your website is more likely to be displayed when people search these terms.
This mays sound a little technical so get your website supplier to do it for you. Some website designers either aren’t aware of this or are too lazy to create separate titles for each page. In our experience not all website designers are familiar with this technique so you might have to push them to make the changes. Remember, it’s YOUR business and YOU pay the bills – so be firm!
